Title: The Church Where Grace Restores the Fallen
Big Idea: Y’all need the Church because when you fail, you need a family that knows how to carry you back to Jesus.
1 – The Church Restores the Fallen (Gal 6:1)
- The verb “restore” is a medical term, meaning “to set a bone” or “mend a net.”
- Restoration is precise, patient, and painful — but it brings healing.
2 – The Church Bears Burdens (Gal 6:2)
- The word “bear” means to shoulder, to carry a weight together.
- The Church walks with the wounded until they’re strong again.
- Ephesians 4:15-16: We “grow up in every way into Christ… when each part is working properly.” That includes carrying each other’s weaknesses until grace rebuilds strength.
3 – The Church Practices Gentle Truth (Gal 6:1b; Eph 4:15)
- The fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:23 ends with gentleness.
- The mark of maturity isn’t how loud your truth is, but how much love carries it.
4 – The Church Turns Failure into Formation (Eph 4:11–16)
- The verb “equip” shares the same root as “restore."
- The same power that sets a broken bone is the power that strengthens the body.
- Restoration and equipping are two sides of the same grace.
