Y’all Need the Church - Week 1: In Joy & Celebration
Texts: Acts 2: 42 – 47; Ephesians 4: 11 – 16

Title: The Church Where Joy Becomes Worship
Big Idea: Y’all need the Church because joy finds its fullness in fellowship, not in isolation.

1 – The Church Is the Feast of Fellowship (vv. 42 – 44)

• The word fellowship (koinōnia) means shared participation.

• The gospel created a community where teaching led to the table, and the table to thanksgiving.

2 – The Church Is the Stage of Praise (vv. 46 – 47)

• The phrase breaking bread refers both to ordinary meals and to the Lord’s Supper.

• Their worship spilled into their dining rooms.

3 – The Church Is the Workshop of Unity (Eph 4: 11 – 16)

• The word build up (oikodomē) implies a construction project.

• Every act of service, every shared meal, every song adds a brick to the house.

4 – The Church Is the Sign of the Kingdom (v. 47)

• The verb "added" means ongoing action, so 
joy kept multiplying because grace kept spreading.
