I. Introduction
- Berkhof: God's relational and redemptive names emphasize His personal care for His people.
- Key Passage: Genesis 22:14 – The LORD will provide (Jehovah-Jireh).
II. Relational and Redemptive Names of God
A. Yaweh-Yireh (The Lord Provides)
- Meaning: Shows God’s faithfulness in meeting the needs of His people.
- Gen 22:14 – Abraham calls God Jehovah-Jireh after God provides a ram.
B. Yahweh-Rapha (The Lord Heals)
- Meaning: Demonstrates God’s power to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
- Ex 15:26 – I am the LORD who heals you.
C. Immanuel (God with Us)
- Meaning: God’s presence dwelling among His people.
- Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23 – Jesus is called Immanuel, meaning “God with us.”
