Creation → Fall → Promise → Covenants → Christ and New Creation.
I. Creation – God’s Good World and Purpose (Genesis 1–2)
- God created everything good, ordered, and purposeful.
- Humanity bears God’s image, receives a vocation to fill, rule, and keep creation (Genesis 1:26–28, 2:15).
- The world begins as God’s dwelling with His people.
II. The Fall – Sin’s Consequences in God’s World (Genesis 3)
- Humanity rebels, listens to the serpent, and rejects God’s word.
- Sin brings guilt, shame, conflict, death, and exile from God’s presence.
- The curse reaches relationships, work, and the ground itself.
III. Redemption Begins – The First Gospel Promise (Genesis 3:15, Genesis 12:1–3)
- Genesis 3:15 holds the first promise that a coming offspring will crush the serpent.
- God calls Abraham, promising blessing, offspring, and land, with blessing for all nations (Genesis 12:1–3).
- The story shifts from a universal scope to a particular family that will carry God’s promise.
IV. Covenants – The Backbone of Scripture’s Story (Exodus 19, 2 Samuel 7, Jeremiah 31)
- Sinai covenant: Israel becomes a kingdom of priests and a holy nation (Exodus 19:5–6).
- Davidic covenant: God promises an eternal throne through David’s line (2 Samuel 7:12–16).
- New covenant promise: God will write His law on hearts and forgive sins fully (Jeremiah 31:31–34).
V. Christ and New Creation – Fulfillment and Goal (Luke 24:25–27, Revelation 21:1–5)
- Jesus teaches that Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms point to Him (Luke 24:25–27).
- In Christ, the promises to Abraham, Israel, and David are fulfilled.
- The story ends in a renewed creation where God dwells with His people forever (Revelation 21:1–5).
